About Carin Leon

Carin Leon, born on July 26, 1989 in the state of Sonora, Mexico, is best known by his stage name Carin Leon. He is a Mexican singer-songwriter whose music has been described under the genres of Mexican regional music , norteña music , ranchera , corrido , banda and sierreño. He is famously known for his gifts in telling stories through his music, his exquisite instrumentalist skills, and his enjoyable tenor voice.

He is the chief songwriter, guitarist, and producer of the Mexican Regional band Grupo Arranke, a professional songwriter for artists including Christian Nodal, Cutaes de Sinaloa, and Adriel Favela, and a charting solo artist. Which seems like a lot of hats to wear, but Leon is more than equipped to handle it. His goal, as an artist, is to recover the roots and ranchera essence at the heart of Mexican Regional music and to bring that essence to his fans.

Since launching his solo career, Leon has recorded over 80 songs including several charting hits, such as “Me La Avente”, a Top Ten Mexican Regional hit. 

Early Life and Musical Influence

Leon was born in Hermosillo, a city in the center of the northwestern Mexican state of Sonora. His family was full of amateur musicians with him being the only member to become a professional. So he always had music in his life, even being said to have sung from time to time as a toddler. He even started playing the guitar while he was in highschool at the age of 15. 

He was self-taught, picking up most of his lessons from things on the radio and from friends. But he showed an early talent and became a quick study. So his future in music was all but assured as it seemed to be where he was charting his course.

Today, Leon is a famous and well-regarded singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. His work has influenced many of his contemporaries and is cherished and enjoyed by listeners across the world.
